Corpus Christi police count money found on a man on Schatzel Street after a bank robbery Thursday.
CORPUS CHRISTI - Police arrested a 42-year-old man Thursday within three minutes of getting a radio call from a city employee that a bank robbery had occurred.
Employees at Wells Fargo Bank, 615 N. Upper Broadway, flagged down a nearby meter reader, who radioed police of the incident about 3:25 p.m. Thursday. Police arrested Fred Flinn Simmons on suspicion of robbery, a second-degree felony. He was in Nueces County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
