FREEPORT, TX - A 44-year old ex-convict and native of Clute, Texas in Brazoria County is back in jail today after a 2 week search by lawmen including members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force.
James Vincent Johnson wanted as a parole violator and a charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm was arrested today at 418 2nd Street in the City of Richwood in Brazoria County. He offered no resistance.
Johnson has a criminal history dating back to the early 90s with convictions of Aggravated Robbery, Exhibiting a Deadly Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and others. At times he has used alias' of Larry Johnson and James Vincent Lunsford.
The task force that arrested Johnson was comprised of officers from the Brazoria County Sheriff's Narcotics Division, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division, and the Freeport Police Department.
Johnson will be held in the Brazoria County Jail pending determination of his parole status.
