Subject:  DEPUTIES ARREST TWO DURING SEARCH WARRANTS

Law Enforcement officers from Galveston, Santa Fe, LaMarque, Texas City and the US Marshall Office were led by Galveston County Sheriff's investigators in the early morning execution of narcotics related search warrants that resulted in two arrests.

About 7:00AM, detectives raided an apartment in the 7400 block of State Highway 6 in Hitchcock. She is now incarcerated at the Galveston County Jail under a $100,000.00 bond.

At the same time, deputies executed a second search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Taylor St. in LaMarque. Their search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of marijuana. Comments:

you need to legalize marijuana so people will be less likely to use other HARDER narcodics

Good job! Saying "legalize MJ so people won't use harder drugs" is like saying legalize beer for kids, so they won't ever drink Whiskey. It's illogical! Marijuana is a gateway drug that leads to hard drug use. It should ALL be illegal and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law ... for even the FIRST offense. Our Sheriff's rock!

"YOU" cannot just make or change the law... one must work the system to effect that kind of change. I think ending hunger and other issues on the home front out weight the need for dopers smoke another reefer...

I wish they would concentrate this much effort on child molestors and illegal immigrants...jeez.
