TEXAS CITY, TX -- Monday Texas City Police responded to a robbery which had just occurred at the Mini Mart at 1320 21st St. N.
The victim, a store employee told officers the robber entered the store through the front door and approached him threatening him with a pump action shotgun. Once at the register the bandit opened the register and took cash from the till. He then ran out the front door north on the sidewalk.
Witnesses saw the gunman get into a gold colored Buick Roadmaster parked near the store leaving the scene east bound on 13th Av. N.
The robber was a black man, 5'08" to 5"10 in height, medium build, wearing a bright orange ski mask, dark colored pants, dark colored shoes, long sleeve white shirt, dark sleeveless jacket and black gloves. He was armed with a black, pump shotgun.
Escape vehicle was a gold Buick Roadmaster, old model, with a torn or missing outside driver side door panel.
