GALVESTON - Former Houston Astros pitcher Brandon Backe and two others accused in the infamous H2O Bar "riot" pleaded no contest Friday to misdemeanor charges, and a fourth case was dismissed.

Backe, Christopher Cornwell and Calvin Silva weren't present in Galveston Municipal Court but entered pleas through their attorneys, Bob Moen and Kyle Dickson.
