ClearChannel Outdoor Billboard Now Features Suspect and Announces Enhanced Reward Offered in Case

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who is now wanted for at least 12 Houston area bank robberies.  The latest occurred at the First Convenience Bank inside the Kroger Grocery Store at 569 South Mason Road in Katy.  In previous robberies, the robber sported a unique straggly beard with extra long chin hair, earning him the nickname "Billy Goat Bandit."  During this latest robbery, witnesses described the robber as clean shaven.

FBI spokesperson Shauna Dunlap said about 12:02p.m., the "Billy Goat Bandit" entered the Kroger Store and approached the bank inside the store.  The robber walked up to a teller and announced a robbery, demanding money.  The teller provided the "Billy Goat Bandit" with some cash.  He then demanded money from a second teller, who also gave him some cash.  No weapon was observed during the robbery.  No one was hurt.  The "Billy Goat Bandit" was last seen leaving in a late 90's model maroon Ford Taurus with a second suspect driving the vehicle.

The "Billy Goat Bandit" is a black male, 25-30, 5'10"- 5'11" tall, with average build.  He has a dark complexion and is clean shaven.  He wore a dark baseball cap with a white bill, a dark shirt, dark pants, and a light blue fleece jacket.

The "Billy Goat Bandit" is wanted in at least 11 other Houston area robberies from October last year to the present.  ClearChannel Outdoor Advertising has begun featuring a digital billboard of "Billy Goat Bandit," which announces a $15,000.00 reward for information leading to the and arrest of this robber.  If you have information about the "Billy Goat Bandit," please call the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
