TEXAS CITY, TX -- Texas City police have charged a 40-year old Texas City man with three counts of Aggravated Robbery following the Sunday robbery of an employee at Bahama Bucks.
According to Sgt. Joe Stanton, Hardin walked into Bahama Bucks on Palmer Hwy, looked over a menu, ordered a soft drink and left. He later returned and asked for a glass of water.
As the employee went to the cash register, Hardin followed him and tried to grab money from the open register draw. When the employee slapped at him, Hardin pulled a knife and threatened to cut him.
Hardin grabbed about $200 cash and ran out of the store with anotheremployee in foot pursuit, but he got away.
Police later found Hardin several blocks from the place and he was identified by the employees as the robber. He was also identified as the robber of Shipley Donuts and Croppin Bug Scrapbooks.
Hardin is being held in lieu of $300,000 bond on three robbery charges.
