Friendswood Police Activity November 6 through 12, 2009

Driving While Intoxicated

Nov. 12 (1:50 a.m.) - Brandon Windsor, 22, of Alvin was charged with DWI. Windsor was stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of E. Parkwood. He failed a field sobriety test and registered .212 on a breath test.

Nov. 11 (7:32 p.m.) - Yong Kim, 53, of Houston was charged with felony DWI. Kim was stopped in the 1600 block of S. Friendswood drive after being observed unable to drive in a single lane. She failed a field sobriety test and due to previous convictions, was taken to an area hospital for a mandatory blood test.

Nov. 11 (1:05 a.m.) - Lauren Psencik, 27, of Heritage Park was charged with DWI. Psencik was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2800 block of W. Bay Area Blvd. She failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test.

Nov. 10 (10:00 p.m.) - Juan Lincoln, 38, of Friendswood was charged with DWI. Lincoln was reported as a possibly intoxicated driver by an off-duty officer for another agency. Lincoln drove his vehicle onto the curb at Avondale and Castlelake and got stuck. He failed a field sobriety test and registered .231 on a breath test.

Nov. 10 (12:31 a.m.) - Michael Vasquez, 43, of Friendswood was charged with DWI. Vasquez was stopped for a traffic violation in the 900 block of S. Friendswood Drive. He failed a field sobriety test and registered .243 on a breath test.

Nov. 10 (2:10 a.m.) - Damon Farrell, 38, of Friendswood was charged with felony DWI. Farrell was observed driving erratically in the 2100 block of W. Parkwood. He was unable to perform field sobriety testing. Due to previous convictions, he was transported to an area hospital for a mandatory blood test.

Nov. 8 (1:33 a.m.) - Valerie Marr, 44, of Friendswood was charged with DWI. Marr was observed driving erratically on Falcon Ridge Blvd. She failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test.

Nov. 6 (4:22 a.m.) - Jared May, 25, of Nacogdoches was charged with DWI. May was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2700 block of FM 528. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit a sample for testing.

Narcotics

Nov. 7 (11:16 p.m.) - Andrew Marshall, 24, of Friendswood was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Marshall was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Leisure Lane. He admitted to having the drug in the vehicle.

Nov. 7 (12:15 a.m.) - Christopher Bruce, 19, of Bacliff was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bruce was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of W. Parkwood. During a search, Bruce was found to be in possession of several Tylenol 3 tablets without a prescription.

Nov. 6 (7:33 p.m.) - Tyler Skinner, 17 of Friendswood was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Skinner was stopped for a traffic violation in the 4700 block of FM 2351. He admitted to using the drug earlier in the evening. During a search, officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A passenger, Charles Hefner, 18, of Friendswood was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Domestic Violence

Nov. 11 (10:26 p.m.) - Lori Gaddis, 51, of Friendswood was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Family violence. Gaddis was involved in an argument with her step-son. When her husband attempted to intervene, she reportedly hit him with a glass.

Nov. 8 (10:58 p.m.) - Aaron Connell, 30, of League City was charged with Assault by Contact - Family Violence. Connell got into an argument with his girlfriend at Skyhawk Apartments, 17231 Blackhawk. During the argument, Connell reportedly shoved the female aggressively several times.

Vandalism

Nov. 8 (9:22 a.m.) - A resident of the 1600 block of Stoney Lake Drive reported finding several windows on his vehicle shattered overnight.

Nov. 8 (8:36 a.m.) - A resident of the 500 block of Brandywyne reported finding her vehicle damaged when someone painted rude comments on the vehicle.

Burglary

Nov. 9 (1:00 p.m.) - A plunge router and a circular saw were reported stolen from a garage in the 900 block of Clover Ridge. The victim had left his garage door open for a few minutes while he went to and from the house.

Theft

Nov. 12 (8:53 p.m.) - Robert Hendershot, 48, of League City was charged with Theft and Assault by Contact. Hendershot was reported by an employee of Kroger, 3135 FM 528 trying to hide items under his shirt. When confronted, he pushed an employee and fled the store. He was located by police nearby.

Nov. 9 (7:30p.m.) - A trailer was reported stolen from a residence in the 1200 block of Minglewood. A witness told police he saw a black Ford truck occupied by at least one Hispanic male, leaving the area with the trailer. The victim later found the trailer on a nearby street.

Miscellaneous

Nov. 6 (8:00 p.m.) - Rita Patel, 52, of Heritage Park was charged with Sale of Alcohol to a Minor. Patel was working at Spirit Point Liquor, 2525 Friendswood Link Road, when she was observed selling a six-pack of malt liquor to an underage female. Patel did not verify the young woman's age during the transaction.

Nov. 10 (11:39 p.m.) - Howard Pool, 18, of League City was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention. Pool was observed traveling approximately 90mph on a motorcycle westbound in the 400 block of E. Parkwood. As officers attempted to pull him over, Pool drove through a parking lot and in an out of traffic on W. Parkwood and S. Friendswood Drive. He stopped in the 1400 block of S. Friendswood Drive.

Fraud/Identity Theft

Resident reported that someone used his personal information to pass a check in Schertz.

Resident reported that someone created a fake check using her bank account information. The check was passed in Kentucky. The victim had recently entered her bank account information online to make and insurance payment.
