San Jacinto County deputies reportedly were 'busy,' but at least one was writing a ticket

A Willis family was shocked when they realized that a San Jacinto County deputy had taken the time to write them a traffic ticket last Saturday afternoon - the same day another family, just eight miles away, would be shot to death after repeatedly being told deputies were "too busy" to help them.

News of the ticket raises questions about statements from the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office that numerous high-priority calls kept four deputies from responding to pleas for help for a bipolar man, who police believe killed himself after fatally shooting three others in his home.
